American Idol San Francisco Audition – James Durbin

Ok, we get the formula now American Idol producers. You used to save the best for last, but NOW you save the best AND the biggest heart tugging story for the last audition.
While I was watching the sad luck story and just sighed and turned to Mr Man and said.. here we go.. they are gonna try and make us cry and shook my head for the predictability.. and turned back to my computer.
The story did grab my attention again and now was eager to watch the performance, and chit.. I found it amazing how this young man could keep his composure while belting out an amazing audition and cry at the same time..
Yep, if you didnt guess it already, I reached for the tissues..

What did you think of that one girl that lost her home in the fire? I think she has a kinda funky voice, I don’t know how far she is gonna make it

Dy.. they have had those peeps who are a specific genre before and dont well because they do theme weeks and those peeps cant cut it in other styles of music.. BUT its my understanding this year they are not doing theme weeks I think specifically for that reason and they are going to allow peeps to perform their own music as well.
We shall see with the new rules!

I saw this last night and he was good!
Dy, the girl with the house in the fire.. She has the kind of voice that would probably sound great on recordings, but would be weak on live performances.
There were a lot of pretty good singers this season. Should be good.
I’m liking Steven Tyler, too.

Oh wow! Maybe the American answer to Susan Boyle ( whom I love to hear )! It is amazing to listen to people whose talent eminates from their very spirit!
His voice brought me to tears.

Ok, gotta admit, I was crying too! That kid kept it together so well. I just felt for him and some of the other contestants. The girl whose house burned is going to have to be careful about which songs she chooses to sing. Her voice has a unique quality but I agree with Dy, she may not do well in every genre …didn’t know about the rule change though so the new rules may help her. Can I just say I’m loving Steven Tyler!

I have to say that I am surprised how I do like Steven Tyler as a judge!! I really thought he would be same ol comments.. but he does bring in the lol’s and an unique perspective..

The girl whose house burned down sounds a little like Billie Holiday…she’s great…that kid with the Tourettes and asperberger,,,not one but 2 very bad things to overcome,,he brought me AND the boyfriend to tears…but a lot of music brings me to tears…if u feel it in your soul,,it’s great stuff,,,
Last nite was the first of Hollywood night and the couple,,the girl made it,,the guy didn;t..he kept on singing and begging,,I was like Dude,,give it up,,,,a lot forgot their lyrics and self destructed,,next week is group week,,lots of fights will ensue…Last night a chick did Etta James…”all I could Do was Cry”..amd O-M-G..get the hell outta’ here Kim Zolzniak,,now that’s singin’
I read this was supposed to be JLO’s big comeback and she’s pissed at Stephen Tyler because he’s a hit,,,she said in a snarky way,,,” you never know what’s going to come out of that mouth ”

A lot of young kids,,that one country singer who is 17 and sounds like Trace adkins,,wow!…Ok..well I better stop,,I can write about music til the cows come home.
