American Idol – Can We Say Spingles??

Posted by ImaJustSaying on May 18, 2010

For all you American Idol lova’s.. who watched last night???  Who became an instant fan of Lee DeWyze??

His first song was a  Lynyrd Skynyrd’s song “Simple Man” which was very strong and grabbed your attention.  The judges loved it and thought he was the “Idol Crusher” of the night!!  It was a fantastic performance.

I have been a complete Crystal Bowersox fan and thought she had this one in the bag.. but we got a new boy in town and is giving me spingles!!   He is incredibly humble and grateful for this opportunity and if we can have two winners.. I would be happy.

Lee then sang one my favorite songs “Hallelujah” which the Justin Timberlake version for the benefit of Haiti brought me to tears.  For some reason, this I find this song so inspirational and touching.. and brings you closer to your higher power regardless what it is.   There are quite a few versions but Justin’s was my favorite and now Lee gives us a whole new version and the goosebumps rises off my arms and put a choke hold on my throat!  OMG  what a freakin amazing version.  This lass will definitely be in the top 2 next week with who I am hoping is Crystal.   If I am wrong, then I am leaping into the depths of despair and disapointment.   I will eat 2 containers of Peach Sorbet Haagendaz and a bag of Kettle cooked chips while wiping my tears  of sadness.

How funny was watching Lee get the news of the “Judge Picked Song”  for him FROM SIMON!?!?  In case you didnt know.. this was a Judge’s Pick week.  Oh!! and you could tell Lee was not a happy camper from the song choice?  You can say what you want.. but this show is famous for a reason.  Simon really knows what he is doing and he totally made Lee look like a star with this song choice.  I just wish he can pick songs for all the contestants so we can see better performances..  I just sayin!!

Who watched last week with Lee and Crystals Duet??  OMG!!  It was fantastic and the energy they gave each other was divine to watch.  When two artists perform together and they give you the illusion that they are in love and doing the under the blanket dance, they are true artists in my mind.  Ok my porno mind..  Hey!!!  Don’t judge me!!

Below are performances that I just watch over and over again and still get spingles.

Brothers & Sisters Season 4 Finale shockers!!!

Posted by tvtime101 on May 15, 2010

Season 4 is closing this week for the Walker clan, and with it we have seen the release of Tommy (Balthazar Getty) from TV jail for his not so good behavior in real life, we have seen Kevin and Scotty embark on a new journey together, Sarah landing a hottie and having hot sex, Kittie running for Robert’s Senate seat, and the wedding of Justin and Rebecca not to mention Narrow Lake.

It’s awful to think that this season is going to close because there is so much discovery yet on the closing of Ojai and is it going to have one last final chance at possible keeping its doors open.  You tell me.

Ok, that show lasted ALL of 5 minutes, right?!?!  ABC has announced that it has been canceled.  [announcement over PA] PSSSSSHHHHT NO SHOCKER THERE!!!   Ok, I thought that show down right sucked, are you with me????   The writing felt forced (as did the acting) and the set felt very set like.  Fortunately for us, ABC has picked up tons of new romantic comedies for next season!! YAY   keep putting garbage like that back on the air!!!!

‘Chuck’ and ‘V’ will return

Posted by tvtime101 on May 14, 2010

I think the title of this posting says it all, don’t you???  V is a freshman syfy on ABC that has been a bubble show for quite some time.  It is rumored that they will be getting only an order of 13 shows.  Are they to be a mid season show, or a possible sleeper show???  Who knows, but it looks like they aren’t investing in ‘V’ completely yet!

ABC Canceled ‘Flash Forward’

Posted by tvtime101 on May 14, 2010

Well… If ‘Flash Forward’ got the boot, you know what’s staying, right????     ‘V’ will be returning next season.  Personally, I watched the first couple of episodes of both ‘V’ and ‘Flash Forward’ and wasn’t a big fan of either.  I had it in my DVR list, but then faded away to barely remembering the existance of the shows.  My Motto…. If they are easily forgetable, then forget them and move on.

FYI, it has been reported that ABC has picked up a ton of new romantic comedies for next year.   I think that they are trying to get at least one show that works in all of them.  One of them is even named ‘Happy Endings’ and stars Elisha Cuthbert….. I think the title says it all….   Is she a “masseuse” too???????  Other than three of its freshman series on Wednesday nights (‘The Middle’, ‘Modern Family’ and ‘Cougartown’), ABC has really struck out this year with pilots.  They gotta make up some ground for next year!!!!!!

NBC Hacks away at shows, possibly trying to start over

Posted by tvtime101 on May 14, 2010

All I can take away from this next announcement is that NBC is trying to start over and reinvent themselves.    Heroes and Mercy was on the chopping block and are officially canceled (let’s not forget about the forgettable Jay Leno show).  Now its Law and Order and a second round of cancelation for Trauma.  NBC is stopping at nothing to cut shows.  You don’t get a certain amount of viewership, BAM your done, as Emeril would say.  What are your thoughts on the cancelations of NBC????????????

NBC Says “No Mercy For Mercy!”

Posted by tvtime101 on May 14, 2010

That cliffhanger last Wednesday night left us hanging on for more to find out about Mike and Chris.  Was Chris on that flight?????   are they going to tie up loose ends for us (probably not because that was the season/series finale).  We will never find out what happens to Mike with that wife beater/biker wannabe guy.  Read the rest of this entry »

Heroes no more…

Posted by tvtime101 on May 14, 2010

It’s official. NBC has cancelled “Heroes.”

The network seriously mulled bringing back “Heroes” for a shortened final season to wrap up the serialized show.

In the end, given the fairly high cost of the drama, the show’s consistently declining ratings and the number of new hour-longs coming to NBC next season, the network decided the UMS-produced series wasn’t worth an additional season. Sources are still leaving the door open to conclude the show with a special or movie, but also tabling that verdict until after upfronts, which isn’t the best sign.
