The Musings of a Fashion Outsider
I tried. I really, really tried. Everyone just went on and on about the damn Project Runway and Tim Gunn’s beautiful mug was everywhere this season. I watched Season 8, even when it hurt, and I am now prepared to admit that I just don’t get it. Tim Gunn I get. It is easy to see why he is so beloved. Had there been way more Tim Gunn, perhaps I would get it more. I enjoyed Mondo and Andy and April but Gretchen was insufferable and totally undeserving of the win. I swear, Tim Gunn, I truly tried to make it work.
But wait just a damn minute, you say. Who are you to judge whether Gretchen deserves to win if you’re an outsider? What the hell do you know from jeggings? Isn’t your favorite fabric Thinsulate? You probably can’t even tell the difference between Isaak Mizrahi and Michael Kors. Fair enough.
