It has emerged that Marlo Hampton has a long criminal record and had seven different mugshots taken between 1999 and 2003.
Hampton, who is engaged to NFL player Charles Grant, was booked on a string of different charges by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department while living in Tampa, Florida.
She has been arrested for aggravated battery with great bodily harm, probation violations, buying items with a worthless cheque and possession of a firearm.
Hampton, 35, said: ‘I am not ashamed of my past as that has helped me become a better woman today.
‘We all have a past and my hard-knock childhood in and out of the foster care system is a reflection on a bigger issue we are faced with here in America, a broken foster care system.
‘My present charge in life is to live with God in my heart and help young women especially from the foster care system avoid the challenges I faced.’
And Drita’s kids are luckily adhering to their mother’s advice. “Aleeya had an incident when she first moved here — girls not wanting to be nice to her. She came home crying,” remembers Drita. But Aleeya didn’t raise her fist. “She actually said, ‘I was so mad that it was so hurtful, but I remember you said ignore them and I did.’ I was so proud of her because I was in kindergarten when I punched a kid in the face.”
“When people say mean things to you, you have to feel sorry for them and pray for them to be a better person at night,” Drita always reminds her kids.
But Drita still fears that Aleeya’s emotions could cause her problems down the road, because that’s exactly what happened to her father, Lee D’avanzo. “Why I want to get my daughter help in therapy is because my husband had anger issues with the fact that the feds killed his father,” explains Drita. “He immediately had a hatred towards the law. His mother said he became a totally different person when he woke up.”
“Not that that’s Aleeya’s case,” continues Drita. “She can get angry at the world because her father’s not around,” but she keeps it all inside.
Drita just doesn’t want to see her daughter ever react like Drita does under pressure. “The last incident that I had just went to show me that really I could just end up in jail,” says Drita referring to the season finale fight where blood is drawn. “These kids have no business not having both parents around”
“Do I overdrink? No. I drink with responsibility,” Ramona told In the Mixx at a recent event for Hamptons Magazine at the Southampton Social Club. “I drink with a beautiful dinner. I would rather have my one or two glasses of Pinot Grigio than dessert which is 700 calories.”
Though she admits her name has become synonymous with the white wine, she’s using that to her advantage with her own line, Ramona Pinot Grigio.
And besides, the 54-year-old explains, drinking comes with being a Real Housewife.
“All I can say is, we’re filmed in social events. If you look at anytime I have a drink in my hand, look what LuAnn [de Lesseps] is drinking. The other people are drinking,” Ramona said. “The only person who doesn’t drink is Jill [Zarin]. She only drinks Diet Coke – and you wonder why? But anyway, all the other Housewives shows – they’re all drinking.”
Does it bother her that her costars, like Jill, have said they worry about her drinking? Or that she’s portrayed on the show as always wanting a glass of her beloved wine?
“I actually said to Bravo, I called them up I said, ‘Wait, is the story line so bad you have to make [my drinking] a story line? Because you know I don’t have a drinking problem,’ ” she said.
She also noted: “I’ve been on the show for four years. How can I have five businesses, be married 19 years, have a daughter who’s a straight-A student? I cannot even be a … functioning alcoholic if I had all of this stuff going on. It would be impossible. Do you ever see me fall down on TV? Do you ever see me slur my speech? Absolutely not. Do I have a drink or two with dinner? Absolutely.”
And that, according to her husband Mario, is good for business.
“You know what? It promotes the Pinot Grigio,” he says of the frequency of Real Housewives footage of Ramona drinking. “So if they want to make a big deal about it … that’s [fine].”
The force that is Jon Stewart: Daily Show’s ratings now higher than most of FOX News Clink to read more
Jon Stewart is leaping ahead of one of his most popular targets: Fox News.
The comic’s TV program, The Daily Show, beat most of the entire Fox News network in terms of total viewers, according to the May Nielson ratings.
Mr Stewart’s show averaged 2.3million viewers, while most of the Fox News prime time and day time line up averaged only 1.85million viewers.
Total viewership slid 10 per cent at Fox News, which lost viewers in the valuable 25-54 demographic in every prime time show.
Bill O’Reilly’s show was down 9 per cent, Sean Hannity was down 6 per cent, and Greta Van Susteren dropped 12 per cent.
Glenn Beck’s Fox show was cancelled entirely last April, largely due to sliding numbers.
Only one of Fox’s shows, The O’Reilly Factor, managed to hold off Jon Stewart’s surge in the numbers.
Mr O’Reilly recorded 2.8million total viewers, compared to The Daily Show’s 2.3million.
“Real Housewives of D.C.” star Michaele Salahi, who was rumored to be on this season, is not on the official list. VH1 recently released a statement saying, “Prior to the taping of the current season, producers were advised that Michaele Salahi met the criteria to be treated in this setting. However, professional assessments spanning from that time to the present, found that she did not meet such criteria. As a result, she is no longer participating in the program.”

Fear Factor was based on a Dutch show called Now or Never-land. When NBC imported the format to the States in 2001, it enlisted comedian Joe Rogan as the host – fresh off the end of the station’s sitcom NewsRadio. The show’s three-act format became a quick hit with audiences for its “extreme” stunts and cringe-inducing scenes.
Each Fear Factor episode was split up into three parts: a physical challenge, a gross-out challenge and an action stunt. By far the most visible aspect of the show was the second section – in the first season, the show asked contestants to lay in vats of snakes, rats and roaches, eat live insects or raw buffalo testicles, or find a hidden object in a vat of blood. The contestant or team that did the best won a $50,000 grand prize.
She later adds, “I think some people were wondering … I have two kids, isn’t that bad? But I think no; I want my kids to be happy and healthy and later on in their lives, be sexy and have fun. I don’t want them to think that having an eating disorder is cool, because it’s not!”
And it wasn’t just for her body image that Kelly decided to pose naked, it was also to exact sweet revenge on Bethenny Frankel and the other ‘Housewives’ she believed bullied her on the show.
“I think the ladies were shocked by it,” she tells me. “I think they thought, ‘We tried to take you down and now you are doing Playboy, what?! And now I have Playboy so they are like, ‘Wait a minute. This is not working!'”
She explains what really motivates her to be in the reality game.
“My real friends and family, they like the real Kelly. They like nice Kelly. Being cool is hot but being mean is not. Mean girls are really last year. I want to see real people doing real things. The reason we do reality is to see it … I don’t want a fabricated version. If you’re mad, I want to see you mad. And if you are happy, I want to see that.”
Kelly knows that you either love her or hate her, but she doesn’t care. “If they’re not talking about you, you are not relevant,” she tells me.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member and developer Joe Gorga described himself as a “clean guy” who always pays his bills as he finds himself the target of a civil suit seeking more than $25,000.
Starlite Window Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Paterson claims Gorga failed to pay them for a window contract. The company’s attorney said a few subcontractors have sought legal advice from his firm regarding debts they say Gorga owes them.
“They are most upset by Gorga’s display of self-proclaimed wealth on the show while they are owed thousands of dollars from him for their hard work,” said lawyer Darren Del Sardo of Wayne.
Del Sardo does not have any other clients aside from Starlite Window with suits filed against Gorga.
Gorga said Thursday that he is a developer who works on “big projects” and in his line of work “discrepancies happen all the time.” Gorga designs, builds and manages apartment buildings in Paterson.
“They can say what they want,’’ Gorga said Thursday. “I am not an evil guy. I can’t help that I have worked hard all of my life and I have what I have.’’
Gorga said he was given a $100,000 estimate for windows for the Courtland Suites apartment complex in Paterson, but the price went up another $30,000. He said he paid the company the $100,000 he was originally quoted. Gorga said there was no formal agreement for the work because he does business with a handshake. She’s cried about her sex tape, stripped off in the bathtub and visited every chatshow going.
But despite her whirlwind tour of self-promotion, Paris Hilton failed to encourage viewers to tune into the premiere of her much-hyped reality show.
The World According To Paris scored just a measley 409,000 viewers, which compares to 724,000 for the premiere of Aubrey O’Day’s show on the same channel and 1.7 million for the most recent series of The Bad Girls Club.
The lack of viewers could not be blamed on the efforts of reality star Paris.
The 31-year-old star stripped off, washed her hair and soaped up in the tub of her Beverly Hills mansion in the premiere.
The socialite promised the ‘real’ Paris would be on show in the programme, and the cameras certainly featured the star in all areas of her life, from her sleeping under a pink duvet, to girly chats with her mother Kathy.
