Hold on tight, spider monkeys. We’re gearing up for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards where anything can happen. And who’s going to be the ringmaster of the big night? We’ve tapped SNL “A-Hole” Jason Sudeikis to take the reigns as host. You’ve seen him everywhere from guest stints on “30 Rock” to the silver screen on “Hall Pass” … seriously, the guy’s popping up all over the comedy scene.

Jason will keep you laughing with his own brand of jokes in between all the awards. Maybe he’s even picked up a few tips from his “The Rocker” co-star and last year’s Movie Awards host Aziz Ansari. Or maybe he’ll even take a cue from his SNL co-star and 2009 host Andy Samberg and showcase hilarious digital shorts at this year’s awards. With all his MTV ties, he’ll definitely be a worthy Movie Awards host.

Did someone say awards? <!–Oh, right – we need your help to pick this year’s winners.–>You’ve done your job (stuffing our virtual ballot boxes full of votes for who you want to win) and now it’s our turn to tally up your choices. Which couple will win Best Kiss? Should Natalie Portman’s “Black Swan” win for Best Jaw Dropping Moment or Best Scared-As-S**t Performance? Voting for Best Movie is open into the show, so there’s still a chance to help decide which of your favorite nominees will go down in Movie Awards history and win the Golden Popcorn.

Reese Witherspoon One stunning celeb is set to receive the biggest award of the night: the mega-talented Reese Witherspoon will be honored with the MTV Generation Award! She’s starred in blockbuster hit movies including, “Legally Blonde” & “Water For Elephants,” has won numerous awards (including the Golden Popcorn for Best Comedic Performance at the 2002 MTV Movie Awards), and is now receiving this year’s top honor. She’s proved her caliber as a talented thespian, and MTV is proud to make Reese Witherspoon part of Movie Awards history.

But the fun doesn’t stop here! We’ve got some stellar performers on tap that are sure to bring down the house at this year’s show.

Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters will grace the stage with a rocking performance of their latest single, “Walk”. With such a legendary rock band on the roster it’s sure to be a head-banging performance. They join already announced performers hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco and R&B sensation Trey Songz set to debut their collaborative single ‘Out Of My Head’ on television. Lupe Fiasco will also bring down the house with a performance of his platinum single ‘The Show Goes On’ from his chart-topping album ‘Lasers.’ Sit back and get ready for an explosive show!

–>Don’t forget to tune in to the 2011 MTV Movie Awards to watch all of the excitement on June 5. If it’s anything like last year, J. Lo and Les Grossman will be working their moves; Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will be hanging from the ceiling; and Xtina will be getting freaky.

Don’t forget MTV will also unveil it’s highly anticipated, slickly teased new series: TEEN WOLF, premiering that same night, right after the awards show.

Hello peeps! I didn’t watch all of it. But I thought Reese Witherspoon was awkward. Anyone get that?

Sorry, but I’m a Twilight fan. Not a Twi-hard, but a fan nevertheless. I loved seeing the Breaking Dawn preview. It looks more serious than the last films.
