Breaking News at Fox Means Something Different Than Breaking News at CNN

Posted by tinselkitty on May 2, 2011

At Fox, they are actually breaking news. Breaking it all to pieces. Making a mess that they leave for others to clean up.

In this case, I can only see two conceivable options. The first one is that Fox wants Obama out so bad they are willing to subliminally type those words into the crawl. The other option is that Fox is staffed with idiots of every flavor. How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie pop center of a Fox? The world may never know.

    Oh Please, please don’t start this as a political slant. You know what you’re trying to stir by showing a typo on ‘Fox’ during a breaking story. This story about Osama Bin Laden is for every American, not Dem or Rep. Half of your readers probably support the other party. which ever that may be.

    Can’t we all have at least one day of celebration and a sense of relief at the defeat of America’s biggest threat and foe?

    @ TK, My opinion is that the idiots have been running the asylum over at Fox for some time. Could be their stupidity, could be purposeful. But it is funny how all their “mistakes” always lean one way?

    @ 1 I don’t think the above is making anything political, it’s a dig at Fox. Unless you’re implying that Fox is a political organization?

    I thought the typos were just plain funny and silly. In their hurry to make ‘Breaking News,’ they didn’t do a spell-check!

    WTF is up with the idiots?

    If you want to keep it real, it’s pretty well-known that FOX is one-sided! But the typos are just idiocy!

    Actually, they contract the scrolling news. I know a person who is one of these contractors. Not for Fox, but other news organization. They call her, waking her up in the middle of the night, to update breaking news events.
    Sometimes the news is coming in so fast that she barely has a chance to wake up and keep up.

    The person typing this blurb could be from across the ocean and awakened in the midst of a sound sleep.
    I have seen these kind of mistakes on every news channel, not just one.

    @4 Hi Jelly

    That makes complete sense..

    I’m not looking for a headache that is not there, it was a mistake/typo imo.

    Hi Dy! Yeah, I agree.

    Well, if you consider that TV news journalists are some of the most illiterate people out there, it shouldn’t surprise us when they put mistakes like this before their audience. They constantly make grammatical errors and sadly, people use TV to learn English as a second language and presume that the news is the most reliable source of correct English usage. I did see the Usama ticker tape, and went Huh?
