Ok, just watching Extreme Couponing. This show cracks me up. Couple observations. First, most of these couponers are “bigger” individuals. Maybe it’s because they are filling their carts with dozens of candy bars, cream cheese, “vitamin” water (aka sugar water), and Chef Boyardee. Too bad there isn’t coupons for things like apples and carrots.
Second, the irony of some of their stockpiles. Thousands of diapers when you have no kids in diapers. Cat food for those that have no pets. And how much body hair do you have that you need $4000 worth of razors? I won’t even go into the whole deodorant/body wash/toilet paper stockpiles. Those speak for themselves.
Too funny, these people are clueless. The only one I give credit to is the guy who gave some of his stash to the troops overseas, the rest are shopaholics/hoarders.

I agree with you G, “shopaholics/horders”..I would respect this if they gave some/ a reall good amount to food banks, homeless shelters etc.. But to stock pile all this stuff for themselves, seems kinda selfish ya know?

Definitely Dy. Hoarders. So embarrassing. Spending 60+ hours a week couponing! How about spending time with your family? I’m sure their kids would rather have one on one time with their parents instead of having their bedrooms filled with overstock toilet paper. FYI people, dumpster diving for old newspapers isn’t a normal thing for kids to do with their parents.

Oh and honestly, the show doesn’t include the fact that these people PAY for a lot of their coupons. As well as the added expense of the extra printers, printer ink, computers, and storage containers these people use to get and store their “deals”. Not to mention the added health costs that living on a diet of candy bars, soda, and high sodium/high fat foods will cost them in the long run.

I don’t have the patience for all that, plus I couldn’t stand that stuff around. I’m a neataholic/cleanaholic..All that would make me crazy.

Well, Dy, you could always arrange all 100 cans of your soup to face the same way, your stockpile could just be like the movie Sleeping with the Enemy, lol. The one that cracked me up the most was the one who bragged about her 4000 rolls of toilet paper! WTH is wrong with her that she needs that much butt wipe?

    lol G..
